Basilico - Get It Done

Basilico is a streamlined iOS application designed to enhance productivity by integrating the Pomodoro Technique with everyday task management. The app enables users to create a personalized list of chores or tasks, offering a unique feature where, during each Pomodoro break, it suggests a specific task to complete.

This innovative approach not only optimizes time management but also supports individuals, including those with ADHD, in staying organized and mindful of smaller daily responsibilities. Basilico is particularly valuable for remote workers seeking to maintain focus and structure throughout their workday.

rsync-manager

rsync-manager

I developed an open-source application designed to simplify the management of rsync tasks for users of all technical levels. Leveraging the power of rsync—a robust file synchronization tool—this app provides an intuitive interface to streamline the process of configuring, scheduling, and executing file transfers and backups, both locally and across remote systems. Built with usability in mind, it abstracts the complexity of command-line options, making it easier to harness rsync’s efficiency for tasks like incremental backups or directory synchronization without deep technical expertise.

The app reflects my commitment to creating practical, user-focused tools that bridge the gap between powerful utilities and everyday accessibility. By offering a clean, web-based platform, it empowers users to manage rsync operations seamlessly, whether for personal projects or small-scale deployments. Released as open-source, it invites collaboration and customization, aligning with my passion for community-driven development and enhancing the utility of established technologies like rsync for modern needs.

TeslaDashFusion

TeslaDashFusion is a native Windows, MacOS and Linux application that allows Tesla owners to easily compile their video clips from their TeslaCam into a single video files.

When recording a sentry or a dashcam video, all videos are split into files of one minute, separated for all cameras. This results in a folder containing around 40 files for a 10 minutes video. With TeslaDashFusion, all cameras video are combined into one file and concatenated into a single 10 minute length video, allowing users to easily watch and share their videos.

This project is open source an available on my GitHub, allowing users to either download the executable or compile the application themselves.

Wheretobio

Wheretobio is a mobile application available on both iOS and Android platforms, designed to help users find local farmers' markets quickly and easily. The first version of the app was released in February 2020, and since then, it has been helping users all over the french part of Switzerland to discover new, fresh, and healthy food options in their local communities.

As the first free community platform of its kind, Wheretobio had helped locate over 200 local direct sales outlets, bringing together farm markets, self-services, and vending machines to create a comprehensive resource for people who want to eat locally. Thanks to our users, the platform growed with new addresses shared every day.

Wheretobio is a thriving community of over 1000 active members, bringing together local producers and consumers in one comprehensive directory. With an interactive map listing over 200 local addresses, users can easily find the products they're looking for, complete with details on assortment, opening hours, and useful links to producers' websites and social media.

With 11 categories ranging from fruits and vegetables to Christmas trees, consumers can quickly and easily find the products they need within their local area. And with the ability to filter the map or perform a text search, consuming local has never been easier. Plus, everyone is encouraged to add new addresses and share their favorite tips, helping small producers gain greater visibility alongside larger businesses.

The directory is constantly updated, ensuring that users always have access to the latest information. And best of all, the application is completely free for both producers and consumers, with no advertising to distract from the experience.

This project is discontinued.

Video Interviews

During my experience as a software developer, I had the opportunity to work on a project for an anonymous client aimed at revolutionizing the recruitment process. The goal was to simplify the process of scheduling and conducting interviews while ensuring that recruiters could make informed decisions based on the candidates' responses. To achieve this, I developed a mobile application that allows recruiters to send a link to candidates to make a video interview. The process was made simpler and quicker, saving both time and resources.

The application included a feature where recruiters could set up a list of questions with a limited time for candidates to answer them. Candidates could simply record their answers using their smartphone camera and submit them directly through the application. The application was designed to ensure that candidates could submit their video interviews at any time and from anywhere, making it much more flexible than traditional recruitment processes.

Once the candidate submitted the interview, the recruiters could easily review the videos from the web application and decide whether or not they wanted to proceed with the candidate. This process saved a significant amount of time as recruiters did not have to spend hours screening candidates on the phone or conducting in-person interviews. Instead, they could easily evaluate the candidate's potential through the videos submitted.
